Krakow is spectacular. It is famous for its priceless historical monuments, culture and art. It offers a truly unique experience with a wonderful mixture of heritage, leisure and entertainment.

And just a 30-minute drive from the city there is Wieliczka. The town is known for a salt mine, the oldest still operating in the world. We invite you for a walk through a maze of spectacular chambers and winding corridors. The tour tells the story of the mine and people that worked there. It also presents technical changes and developments that helped to preserve this precious UNESCO Heritage monument.

Two UNESCO Sites in One Day
  • Meet your guide for a half-day walking tour of Krakow. We take you through streets, lines and square of that magical city. Let’s start at the Barbican, next walk to Florianska Gate and along Grodzka Street to the largest mediaeval square in Europe. While we are there we stop for a visit of the oldest shopping mall, the Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) and St. Mary’s Church to admire the magnificent Gothic wooden altar by Wit Stwosz. We continue along Grodzka and Kanonicza streets to Wawel Hill to see the courtyard of the Wawel Royal Castle and the Cathedral.
  • Afternoon, we drive to Wieliczka for a tour of Wieliczka Salt Mine. It is world famous salt mine recognized by UNESCO Committee as World Heritage Monument. The underground route takes us through winding corridors and amazing chambers with splendid decoration, all carved in salt. The highlight of the route is the St. Kinga’s Chapel, truly a masterpiece of decorative art that takes your breath away. Watch out for over three hundred steps, mostly downward, that we need to cover to discover the treasures of the place.
