Krakow - Zakopane - Krosno - Sanok - Przemysl - Zamosc - Warsaw

The route leads from the former Polish capital of Krakow to the south area of Małopolska and the mountainous areas of Podhale distinguished by their cultural distinctness; passing Renaissance monuments and places associated with oil extraction; then to the North with great Renaissance magnate residences, castles and multi-hectare parks. The tour ends in Warsaw, a city almost completely destroyed during World War II, today rebuilt and expanded to the largest modern metropolis in Central Europe.

Day 1, Krakow - arrival

Upon arrival to Krakow Balice Airport, meeting with your
guide/assistant and transfer to your hotel; Check-in
guided half day classic walking tour of Krakow, including the Old Town
area with the Old Town Market Square, the Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s
Church, Renaissance Collegium Maius of Jagiellonian University and
Florianska Gate and more… & let’s see the Royal Wawel Hill & visit the
Royal Cathedral.
(optional) afternoon tour of Jewish Interest, including Kazimierz former
Jewish district of Krakow with Old and Remuh Synagogues, Jewish
Cemetery, Galicja Jewish Museum followed by Oscar Schindler’s Route
Dinner in one of the restaurant on the Old Town (or in Kazimierz serving
specialities of Jewish cuisine)
Overnight at the historical Hotel POLSKI POD BIALYM ORLEM in Krakow
or in a former monastery from the 12th century St. Norbert in Hebow
near Krakow (25 km/30 min. drive)

Day 2, Krakow – Wieliczka - Sierakow

Breakfast at the hotel, check out
am. drive to Wieliczka via a thousand-year Benedictine Abbey (visit
the museum) & Kalwaria Zebrzydowska - Marian Sanctuary and
Bernardine monastery (UNESCO). On the way visit Lanckorona - a
typical small town in Lesser Poland.
Then continue the tour and visit Wieliczka Salt Mine, visit the world-class
attraction included in the UNESCO Human Heritage List. The
underground tourist route leads through mysterious labyrinth of galleries
and caverns with unique sculptures, all carved in rock salt
Transfer to Sierakow & overnight at Sierakow Manor - a classic, historic
Polish Manor house situated in 4 hectares of old wooded parkland. It
was built in 1850 and is set in the beautiful scenery of rolling hills…

Day 3, Sierakow – Zakopane - Sierakow

Breakfast at the manor, check out
Morning transfer to Zakopane via Chocholow with regional old
wooden construction.
Let’s explore Zakopane the winter capital of Poland. The tour includes
Krupowki which is the main, commercial street in Zakopane; we
recommend visiting some of the numerous local museums f.ex. Tatra
Museum, Zakopane Style Museum in Villa Koliba (on the way to Koliba
we shall not miss out on the Old Church) in walking
distance…Zakopane's churches are also worth to see: two wooden
ones - Jaszczurowka Chapel and the Old Church in Koscieliska street,
the other one is the imposing Fatima Sanctuary in Krzeptowki
Continue discovering Zakopane on the other way. You enjoy a
funicular railway up the Gubałowka Mountain and then a walk along
its rib to Butorowy Wierch Mountain
Back transfer to Sierakow Manor; overnight

Day 4, Sierakow – Debno – Krosno

3 amazing meeting with the wild nature, unchanged for thousands of years
On the way to Krosno visit Biecz - a renaissance town with a
characteristic town hall and collegiate church.
Dinner and overnight in the historic Polanka Palace in Krosno - the
history of the mansion is first and foremost the story of the origins of the
global oil industry. Here, in 1854, Ignacy Łukasiewicz (inventor of the oil
lamp), with the owner Tytus Trzecieski and a businessman Karol
Klobassa established the world's first company, which was aimed at
finding and extracting crude oil.

Day 5, Krosno

After breakfast a trip to the open-air museum in Bobrka, an institution
established in the place of the first oil mine in the world. A scenic drive
along the Low Beskids - visits the historic UNESCO wooden churches
and war cemeteries from World War I connected with one of its
greatest battles, the so-called Gorlicka's battle; guided tour of Krosno -
let’s see the numerous Gothic and Renaissance monuments,

Day 6, Krosno – Sanok - Krasiczyn

On the route to Krasiczyn visiting some highlights of the region:
Haczow - the largest wooden Gothic church in Poland (UNESCO
listed), (optional visit Bezmiechowo - a glider, an important place on
the map of the Polish gliding school, from where in 1938 the pilot
Tadeusz Gora held a record, about 580 km flight to Vilnius (awarded
with the Lilienthal Medal)); Sanok - with the Castle and Galician Town -
a reconstructed market, a synagogue and Jewish tenement houses,
wooden buildings and a museum with the richest collection of icons
paintings of the Orthodox and Greek-Catholic Church
Dinner and overnight at the Castle in Krasiczyn - the great
Renaissance residence of the Krasicki family. The castle was built at
the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries in the Renaissance and
Mannerist style. You can admire the external elevations with their
characteristic sgraffiti, and the courtyard surrounded by cloisters with
four towers rising in the corners: the Divine, the Papal, the Royal and
the Manor.

Day 7, Krasiczyn – Przemysl – Lancut - Zamość

A guided walk around historic Przemysl a city of 7 monumental
temples located in the hills (named Przemyski’ Vatican). Visit the
Museum of Bells and Pipes located in the late Baroque Clock Tower;
and Przemysl’ forts - the second largest in Europe (after Antwerp)
fortifications from World War I.
Transfer to Lancut, the great residence of the magnate Potocki.
Visiting the Castle, Stable and Coach House.
In the evening, an organ concert in the Bernardine basilica in Lezajsk.

Drive to Zamosc
Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Koronny – situated by the Old Town
of Zamosc in a historic building located in the area of former military
barracks.

Day 8, Zamość – Lublin – Kazimierz Dolny/Chotynia

Breakfast at the palace, check-out
Zamość (UNESCO listed) - the pearl of the Polish Renaissance called
Padva of the North. A city designed by Italian architects as a
"complete city" commissioned by the magnate Zamosc family.
Drive to Lublin - the capital of Eastern Poland, a renaissance historic
city with a castle, a market square, a preserved old urban layout.
Transfer to dinner and overnight at the "Krol Kazimierz" hotel located in
the building of a medieval grain granary// or Chotynia Manor House a
unique place where the past mingles with the present.

Day 9, Kazimierz Dolny/Chotynia - Warsaw

Breakfast at the palace, check-out
Visiting Kazimierz, a charming town on the Vistula River with numerous
Renaissance monuments…. Jewish cemetery (kirkut). Museum in
Kozlowka – located in the palace owned by Zamoyski family since 1799.
The northern pavilion (formerly, the Coach-house) is home to Poland's
only Socialist-Realist Art Gallery - a project unknown to any other
European country.
Transfer to Warsaw, an evening walk through the park with illumination
lights in the royal residence in Wilanow.
Dinner at a local restaurant or at the hotel
Overnight in the historic Polonia Palace Warsaw (a typical historic city
hotel. It was built by Count Konstanty Przezdziecki in 1913 in a Frenchstyle)

Day 10, Warsaw

Breakfast at the hotel
Visit the Warsaw Old Town with the Royal Castle (built in the 14th
century as a wooden fortress for the Dukes of Mazovia) and Castle
Square (with King Sigismund Waza Column); then St. John’s
Cathedral, the Old Town Market Square and the Barbican (the city’s
defensive walls)…
Drive along the Royal Route to see a lot of churches, monuments &
then drive to the Royal Lazienki Complex - visit the famous Palace on
the Isle (located on an artificial island, was the summer residence of
the King Stanisław August Poniatowski)
Back to the hotel; dinner and overnight in the historic Polonia Palace Warsaw

Day 11, Warsaw departure
