We start with a visit to Palace of Culture and Science. It is the tallest building in Poland offering a splendid panorama of Warsaw, from the observation deck at 30th floor. The building is a landmark which one can see from any direction while approaching the city. But it is also a visible mark of post-war history when such a gift from the Soviet people to the Polish nation could not be rejected. Today it still rises discussions what the city should do with the building. Have a look and tell us what you think.
We continue towards Old Town, stopping by 18th century Krasinski Palace, today a seat of Academy of Fine Arts, late-Baroque Branicki Palace built in 19th century, Borch Palace, the seat of the Polish Cardinal-Primates, and Prymasowski Palace which until 1795 was a seat for primates of Poland.
The last stop of today’s tour is the Royal Castle. The first wooden construction was built in the 14th century by Mazovian Princes. In 1596 Warsaw became capital and the seat of monarchs and the castle became a royal residence. Rebuilt and remodeled over the centuries, it was destroyed during World War II. The meticulous reconstruction took a long time but splendid interiors, opened to the public in 1984 year, amaze all visitors.

Day 2, Warsaw
Our day begins with visit to the Royal Lazienki Palace and Park. The Palace on the Isle, located on a man-made island, was the summer residence of the last Polish King Stanislaw August Poniatowski. Lazienki Park is also a venue of summer Chopin’s concerts which take place every Saturday and Sunday by the famous Chopin’s Monument.
The tour continues to Wilanow for a visit to a beautiful Baroque palace. Built in late 17th century, it served as a summer seat of king Jan III Sobieski. Next owners remodeled and extended the palace over next ages. Also they added a picturesque garden and landscaped park, which are worth visiting.
