Gdansk - Frombork - Ketrzyn – Gizycko - Warsaw


Beautiful architecture of Hanseatic city, medieval castle, impassive cathedrals, defensive bunkers of the World War II are just a few sites that we visit while biking through North-Eastern Poland. We travel around by bus, by bike, on a boat or paddling down the river.  The routes lead us along country roads and biking paths, giving a chance to admire and enjoy the beautiful landscape and charming towns and villages we pass on our way.  It will be a challenge and memorable experience that you will share with your friends.

Day 1, Gdansk
  • Arrival in Gdansk
  • Afternoon: guided walking tour of Gdansk Old Town
  • Overnight in Gdansk

Day 2, Gdansk – Malbork - Elblag
  • Morning: transfer by train to Malbork for a tour of the most amazing medieval fortress in Europe.
  • Afternoon: first biking takes us from Malbork to the boarders of Elblag (approx. 35 km). Enjoy a beautiful landscape. We reach Elblag after a short bus transfer.
  • Dinner and overnight in Elblag

Day 3, Elblag - Frombork
  • Full-day of cycling from Elblag to Frombork, the city of Nicolaus Copernicus (approx. 45 km). The route leads along Zalew Wislany (Wisla Lagoon).
  • Evening: short organ concert in the Frombork Cathedral
  • Dinner and overnight in Frombork

Day 4, Frombork – Orneta – Bartoszyce
  • Morning: guided tour of the splendid Frombork Cathedral where Nicolaus Copernicus worked for over thirty years
  • Late morning: depart Frombork by bike; the trail leads through a picturesque region of Warmia; the route ends in Orneta area (approx. 50 km), from where our bus takes you to Bartoszyce.
  • Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Bartoszyce

Day 5, Bartoszyce – Swieta Lipka - Ketrzyn
  • Today we take off on our bikes from Bartoszyce to Swieta Lipka (approx. 50 km of biking). This picturesque route passes through many quaint villages and pleasing countryside. The highlight of the day is visit to Swieta Lipka, a beautiful baroque church from 17th century. Let’s enjoy a short organ concert.
  • After the concert, bus transfer to our hotel in Ketrzyn for dinner and overnight

Day 6, Ketrzyn – Wolf’s Lair - Gizycko
  • Morning: day starts with a short drive to Wolf’s Lair by bus. It is an impressive construction, lost in forests, that served as Hitler’s Headquarter.
  • Afternoon: we get on our bikes for a route through history. The biking trail takes us to Sztynort, remains of amazing place and next to Gizycko (approx. 55 km by bike).
  • Dinner and overnight in Gizycko

Day 7, Gizycko – Mazury area
  • Day at leisure
  • Today you have a choice: you can join a scenic bicycle tour (approx. 50 km) around the Masurian lakes or take your time and relax.
  • Dinner and overnight in Gizycko

Day 8, Gizycko – Mikolajki - Krutyn
  • Morning: the day starts with 2-hour boat cruise over beautiful Mazurian Lakes. Enjoy your time and leisurely pace of the day.
  • Afternoon: we disembark boat in Szymanka where you board your bikes and ride to Mikolajki. The town is well-known destination for watersports and sailing lovers. After having explored the town we continue cycling through Mazurski Landscape Park to Krutyn (approx. 40-60 km by bike)
  • Dinner and overnight in B&B in Krutyn

Day 9, Krutyn
  • Today we offer you two activities. Let’s bike through beautiful Krutynia sanctuary (approx. 20 km). Next, we board kayaks to enjoy 2-3-hour paddling trip on Krutynia River. It is one of the most scenic rivers in Poland. It is easy and no worry if it is your first kayaking adventure.
  • The day ends with a bonfire and barbecue.
  • Overnight in B&B in Krutyn

Day 10, Krutyn – Warsaw
  • Morning: transfer to Warsaw and guided sightseeing tour of the city
  • Afternoon: departure for your next destination or home
