Warsaw - Czestochowa - Krakow

Take a retreat from your everyday life to focus on spiritual part. Follow the footsteps of Saint John Paul II, from where he was born, baptized to where he became a priest. Take time and visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki, learn the life of St. Faustina and her Divine Mercy message.

Day 1, Warsaw
  • Arrival, transfer to your hotel
  • Welcome dinner at a local restaurant
  • Overnight in Warsaw

Day 2, Warsaw
  • Full-day city tour of Warsaw includes Old Town with St. John Cathedral, the Royal Route leading up to Lazienki Palace and Park.
  • Afternoon part of the tour features sites important in St. Faustina life in Warsaw
  • Overnight in Warsaw

European Magic Cities - day-2

Day 3, Warsaw – Niepokalanow – Swinice Warckie - Czestochowa
  • Morning: drive to Niepokalanow to visit Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and learn the history of St. Maximilian Kolbe, who established the Franciscan Monastery there
  • Afternoon: drive to Swinice Warckie, a small town where Saint Faustina was baptized and started her spiritual formation. Next stop is Glogowiec village. She was born and lived there together with her parents
  • Continue to Czestochowa for overnight

Day 4, Czestochowa – Wadowice – Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Krakow
  • Morning: visit the Pauline Monastery at Jasna Gora. It is one of the biggest pilgrimage centers known for the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa
  • Afternoon: drive to Wadowice the birthplace of St. Pope John Paul II. Visit his family house where he was born. Today it is a museum that tells and shows the story of his life
  • Continue to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Sanctuary. It is a pilgrimage center where a series of small chapels shows the Passion of Jesus Christ and the life of the Virgin Mary
  • Transfer to Krakow for overnight

Day 5, Krakow
  • Morning: half-day tour of Krakow featuring the most important landmarks and sites
  • Afternoon: optional visit to Wieliczka Salt Mine
  • Overnight in Krakow

Day 6, Krakow – Auschwitz-Birkenau - Krakow
  • Morning: visit to the Museum and Memorial Auschwitz-Birkenau where over 1.1 million lives were lost. One of them was St. Maximilian Kolbe
  • Return to Krakow and rest of the day at your own pace
  • Overnight in Krakow

Day 7, Krakow – Lagiewniki - Krakow
  • Morning: visit to Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki (one of Krakow’s districts). Here St. Faustina Kowalska lived and worked until the end of her life. Today pilgrims from all over the world visit the place
  • Afternoon: wander around the city and visit magnificent churches
  • Overnight in Krakow

Day 8, Krakow
