Unusual city in the center of Europe

Warsaw is different… survived after the destruction during the World War II. There are restored Gothic, communist concrete, modern glass and steel; fascinating collection of neighborhoods and landmarks. Now this amazing city is full of contrasts and surprises. It will excite and inspire you…

Day 1

Warsaw

Meet with your guide at the lobby of your hotel and have a classic tour of Warsaw (up to 4 h), including the part of Royal Route: Krakowskie Przedmiescie, with numerous churches (among others Holy Cross Church with Chopin’s heart kept in the pillar), monuments, historic buildings and palaces; and the Old Town area: St John’s Cathedral, the Old Town Market Square, the Barbican… entrance to the Royal Castle and visit “Royal Route” (Royal Castle was built in the 14th century as a wooden fortress for the Dukes of Mazovia, former royal residence of King Zygmunt III; Neo-Baroque rooms are filled with museum pieces, including period furniture, porcelain, tapestries, and oriental rugs).

Optionally, not included in the price: walk to the city center and visit Palace of Culture and Science – the highest building in Poland; built between 1952 and 1955; it was a “gift of the Soviet people to the Polish nation”, offered by Joseph Stalin himself. The big attraction is a large viewing terrace on the 30th floor of the Palace (entrance) – the excellent panoramic view…
