Day 1

On the way to Masuria
bicycle free, ca. 200 km by bus

Individual arrival to Warsaw, where your guide will meet you at 11 a.m. We begin our trip with a guided tour of the Old Town in Warsaw. Then we leave the capital of Poland and go by bus towards Pisz (ca. 3 hours). Accommodation and dinner in a hotel near Pisz.

 

Day 2

The Piska forest and the Nidzkie Lake
ca. 35 km by bike, ca. 1 hour by ship

Our first bike trip, that leads through the Piska forest, begins after breakfast. On our way we will pass by many lakes and enjoy the beauty of the unspoilt nature. The highlight of the day is the ship cruise on the Nidzkie Lake. Accommodation and dinner in a hotel in Ruciane Nida.

 

Day 3

A paddling tour on the Krutynia river
ca. 20 km by bike

In the morning we have a short bike tour through the Masurian Landscape Park. There are 850 different plants and 150 different birds to be found there. Pay attention for a lynx, beaver or a deer crossing your path! At the Krutynia river we leave the bikes for a while and go paddling. No additional skills are required to paddle on this 90 cm-deep river. In the afternoon we visit the cloister of the Old Believers in Wojnowo and reach by bike our overnight stop. Accommodation and dinner as on day two.

 

Day 4

The Beldany Lake and Mikolajki – “Venice of the North”
ca. 20 km by bike, ca. 1 hour by ship

Today’s programme begins with a delightful ship cruise on the Beldany Lake. At a quiet spot we get off and cycle to Mikolajki, a picturesque port lovingly called “the Masurian Venice” by its inhabitants. We stroll through this nice, little town and then cycle to our hotel. Accommodation and dinner in a hotel in the Mikolajki area.

 

Day 5

Masurian summer capital – Gizycko
25 km by bike, ca. 2,5 hours by ship

In the morning we take a beautiful cruise on some picturesque lakes that are connected by numerous canals. It is another beautiful experience that allows us to explore the nature from the water. Watch for a kingfisher flying around! The cruise will end in Rydzewo and from there we cycle to Giżycko. Accommodation and dinner in a hotel in  Giżycko.

 

Day 6

A ship cruise on the Masurian lakes
ca. 30 km by bike, ca. 2,5 hours by ship

Today we take a cruise on the Masurian lakes to Wegorzewo. During this beautiful cruise experience we will again explore the district from the water and watch different kinds of birds. Take your binoculars to watch the wildlife there. From Wegorzewo we go by bike back to Giżycko. In our last evening, we enjoy a bonfire and have a barbecue (weather permitting). Accommodation and dinner as on day five.

 

Day 7

Goodbye to Masuria
ca. 250 km by bus

After breakfast we return by bus to Warsaw. The tour ends at the Warsaw Central Station at ca. 2 p.m. Individual departure.
